This isn't the book you might think it is. Amy Schumer, known as a comedian, instead tells a lot of tragic stories about things that happened during her life. However, she uses those stories to explain how she became empowered over the years, and offers love, support, and advice for anyone in similar situations. I read this book alongside the audiobook and was pretty disappointed with the audio. Amy read her stories pretty monotone and some of the editing really sucked (some sentences just had the ends skipped, one chapter lost an entire paragraph at the end, and in one of her journal entry chapters a footnote was repeated and the correct footnote just skipped). But, for anyone wanting an inside look to Amy's life and experiences, she really does bare all and let's her fans into her personal life.
