The movie was "Meh," but it was a different view than I am used to seeing of Churchill. While I did know much of what the movie covered, I wonder how accurate the portrayal is of Churchill. For example, it is well know Churchill was opposed to the Normandy landings and was always, ALWAYS, coming up with poorly thought out hair-brain ideas, but it was my understanding he quit activity opposing the invasion in the Spring on 44. This movie makes it sound like he opposed it right up until they succeeded. I wonder which it true? This movie makes him come off as a senile, meddling old coot. He was meddling, but I don't see how he could have been this bad during the actual war.
